My personal tech blog GeekChick.ru
I moved my personal Russian tech blog GeekChick.ru, which I started five years ago, to the Ghost CMS last semester.
It is its third iteration: I've started on Tumblr, then migrated to the self-hosted Wordpress, changed the design a dozen of times (here's an example)... and then grew tired of it and redesigned a blog again.
Also, I've created a personal store space with my Amazon.com recommendations for the blog's readers. GeekChick.ru is quite popular (up to 100000 hits monthly), so many of its subscribers were interested in some easy way to buy everything recommended on a single page.
As an Amazon.com associate I receive a small percentage from any purchase made on this page. It helps me to support a blog, pay for its hosting and not depend on Google Ads.
During the redesign I created three Personas, wrote a System Plan, prepared a Technology Analysis and finished CSS&HTML Codecademy course.
The redesign involved CSS/SASS editing, massive image migration, domain rerouting and even favicon creating and assigning.
